What to Expect

We hope in joining us that you will find a warm, welcoming congregation that wants to connect with you. We are a historied church and our building is a wonderful place to worship God on Sundays, however, we are also committed to continuing to reach out beyond our building by being the church Jesus intends us to be.

What to wear:

You will see a range of attire from suits and ties, dresses, khakis and polos, also jeans, shorts, and t-shirts.

Outline of a Sunday:

Sunday morning starting at 9:30 am, we have Sunday school classes for most age groups.  Children and Junior/Senior high school students have their own classes. We offer an adult Sunday School class as well.

At 10:30 am we begin our worship service with a musical prelude. Someone will welcome you and present the announcements and have the opening prayer.

Next, we will have someone read a passage out of the Bible in preparation for the service.

We will then sing several songs and occasionally responsive readings leading up to communion.

We partake of communion weekly and all those who have confessed Christ are invited to partake of communion with us.

Next will be our offering. If you are a visitor, this worship service is our gift to you, you are under no obligation to give unless you feel strongly to do so. Offering plates are found at the north and west doors of the sanctuary.

We will then all stand and sing the Doxology together.

Next, one of the ministers will come up to the pulpit and preach from the Bible and how its timeless message impacts us and can be lived out in our world today.

After the sermon, an invitation will be given to anyone who desires to make Jesus their Lord and Savior, to follow him, to be baptized, and to join with this church family.

After a closing prayer and song, you will be dismissed to continue living out your faith in your everyday life.

Monday Afternoons:

After-school Bible Club (ABC) is a ministry for children in 1st-5th grades that meets on most Mondays during the school year from 3:00-5:00pm. It includes a snack, a time of singing, a lesson, a craft, some games, and scripture memorization.
